ACA & SALTO Webinar: How to create the role of an Inclusion Officer at your institution- REGISTER NOW!

Building more inclusive universities requires more than good intentions – it calls for clear strategies, dedicated people, and structures that make diversity and equity part of everyday practice. Increasingly, higher education institutions are recognising the value of appointing an Inclusion Officer to coordinate and drive this work forward.

To support institutions on this journey, the Academic Cooperation Association (ACA) and SALTO Inclusion & Diversity (E&T) are delighted to invite you to a two-part online webinar on 6 & 7 November 2025 (10:00–12:00 CET). During the event, we will present our new publication Establishing the Role of an Inclusion Officer in a Higher Education Institution and provide practical guidance on how universities can take the first steps towards introducing this role in their own context.

Designed as a continuous programme across two mornings, the webinar combines expert inputs with interactive discussions, ensuring participants leave with both inspiration and concrete ideas. Drawing on real-life case studies and interviews with colleagues already working in these roles, the sessions will explore how Inclusion Officers can:

  • Shape inclusive institutional policies and strategies
  • Build bridges between international offices, faculties, and student support services
  • Address systemic barriers that prevent some students and staff from fully accessing mobility opportunities
  • Leverage Erasmus+ tools to foster inclusion across programmes and partnerships

Special attention will be given to tools and opportunities within Erasmus+, highlighting how the programme can support institutions in becoming more inclusive and in widening access to international mobility.

This event will be most relevant for those in leadership and decision-making roles within higher education—individuals responsible for shaping policies, strategies, and hiring practices. We also encourage international officers, inclusion specialists, and colleagues engaged in driving institutional change to attend the event to foster a dialogue among various stakeholders. To benefit fully, participants are encouraged to join both sessions.
