25 Years of SALTO Network: Celebrating the People Behind the Work

In 2025, the SALTO Network celebrates its 25th anniversary, marking a quarter century of supporting quality and cooperation within the European programmes for youth, education and training. What started as a small initiative at the turn of the millennium has grown into a strong network of 11 Resource Centres working across Europe and beyond.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, the SALTO Network has launched Humans of SALTO 2025 – an online storytelling project that highlights the people behind the network. Inspired by the “Humans of…” concept, the project shares personal reflections from individuals who have contributed to the network’s creation, growth and impact over the years.

Among the distinguished individuals featured in the short portrait pieces, SALTO ID ET is proud to highlight Mr Josip Luša, one of the founders of our own Resource Centre for Inclusion and Diversity in Education and Training and its former Head.

To better understand the roots of this journey, we invite you to read our article How did SALTO start?, which looks back at the early days of the network and the vision that shaped its development. Discover the stories, celebrate the people, and join us in marking 25 years of SALTO – past, present and future.
