SWING – Signs for Work Inclusion Gain is a strategic partnership project coordinated by the Italian organisation Federazione Sociale Italiana per le disabilità (Italian Federation for Persons with Disabilities). The project brought together partners from Spain, Germany, Hungary and Italy with the aim of supporting deaf and hard of hearing people in the workplace through the development of a series of video dictionaries in different sign languages. Dictionaries contain technical terms related to gastronomy, woodwork and tourism and can be accessed at the following link:

Additionally, the project team also carried out fields studies that led to development of five research reports for five different service sectors (tour guides, health staff, civil servant, waiters and sales people). Research reports can be accessed at the following link:

Finally, the partnership also developed a total of 12 mobile apps that contain training courses for users that want to learn and use the sign language. There is an app for every field (gastronomy, woodwork and tourism) in four different sign languages (Italian, Spanish, German and Hungarian). All apps are available both for Android and iOS.
