Upon invitation from EACEA (Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency), an agency of the European Union responsible for managing various funding programs and initiatives related to education, culture and audiovisual content, SALTO Inclusion and Diversity participated in the 3rd online meeting of the EACEA Inclusion and Diversity Network. Josip Luša, Head of SALTO Inclusion and Diversity, delivered a presentation and highlighted the accomplishments and initiatives undertaken by the resource centre since its establishment.
SALTO’s input laid the foundation for future cooperation with EACEA as both sides explored shared goals and interests and discussed collaboration possibilities. With a view to promoting and enhancing inclusion and diversity in the projects and activities managed by EACEA, SALTO presented a number of useful tools and publications that are already available on its official website, as well as its plans for 2024. Discussed in greater detail and deemed as particularly useful were tools and publications related to establishment of a network of inclusion and diversity ambassadors, development and update of inclusion and diversity strategies, digital accessibility and inclusive event organisation
To effectively address access challenges and raise awareness of inclusion and diversity options and support mechanisms, EACEA has developed a comprehensive Inclusion and Diversity Action Plan, supported by a dedicated network of inclusion officers.
An agreement was reached to keep the EACEA Inclusion and Diversity Network in the loop concerning future SALTO activities and developments, in particular upcoming meetings and trainings.
