The European Commission has opened public consultation on European disability card, an initiative that seeks to ensure equal access to benefits across borders for people with disabilities. It covers areas such as culture, leisure, sport and transport and should provide persons with disabilities with proper support when they travel or move to another country in the European Union.
The consultation period opened on February 10 and closes on May 5 2023 (midnight Brussels time), while target audience includes persons with disabilities and their organisations, public authorities (national, regional and local), providers of services in the single market (public and private transport providers) and members of general public that that have an interest in this area. The consultation is implemented to ensure the overall quality of the impact assessment.
You can contribute to this consultation by filling in the online questionnaire using any of the official EU languages. More information, including an easy-to-read and an accessible Word version is available on the official website of the European Commission.
